STARZ CAPTURE TITLE IN FIRST SEASON

The Baltimore Starz women have won the Eastern Basketball Alliance championship in their first season in the league. The Starz put away the Harrisburg Lady Horizon for the third time this season on March 29th here in Baltimore. It was a competitive game with both teams making several runs but the Starz had too much firepower and wore down the the three time defending champs, 90-76. Jewel Clark-Adams continued her stellar play by scoring 33 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. The Starz had another balanced attack with five players in double figures. BJ Banjo had another great game scoring 23 points and dishing out 9 assists. Janee Hayes and Chanel Wright scored 12 each and Dafne Blakney added 10 points. Baltimore finished the season with a record of 7-1.
